How it works

From the network to the culprit, in four steps

Open the project, run a scan and the rest sorts itself out. Nothing to declare device by device, nothing to install on the radios.

Every link's signal, as it happens

One table for the whole network: local and remote signal in dBm, link quality, modulation, capacity, latency and the AP each client hangs from.

  • Traffic light per device: good, warning or critical

02 · Diagnosis

Seven axes watch the link. One answers you.

The status chip is not a signal meter: it is the worst of seven axes evaluated at once. That is why it can turn red with a flawless signal — and tell you why.

  • Compares against the signal expected at that distance, not against a fixed number
  • Mark a healthy link as OK and from then on it is judged against your own baseline
  • It sees the wired leg: an AP that used to negotiate 1000 Mbps and now gives 100 throttles its whole sector
  • Latency measured by the radio itself, with warnings from 12 ms and critical at 24 ms

The thresholds come from field cases and keep being tuned; the app explains under Help how they were set, and the user guide publishes the current ones.

03 · Network design

Plan before you climb the tower

Place your nodes on the map and look at each sector's coverage, with its bearing, its reach and the clients hanging off it. The next rollout stops being decided from memory.

  • Sectors drawn per AP, with their links and their located stations
  • A card per device with signal, SNR, CINR, distance, frequency and its diagnosis
  • Planned APs: draw the one that does not exist yet and see who it would reach
  • A lock so nothing already in place gets dragged by accident

What you need to work, not to show off

Snapshots and history

Freeze the state of the network and compare it against last week's to see what changed and since when.

Reports in PDF, Excel and CSV

Five slices —the whole network, critical only, APs only…— in all three formats, with the full summary always visible.

Type a name, an IP or a MAC without separators and the app leaves you that single row, or that card centred on the map.

Masks and labels

Rename and group devices to read your network at a glance. The name survives even if the IP changes.

Encrypted .sscope project

Per-link latency

Can SignalScope change my radios' configuration?

No, and that's a design decision: the application is strictly read-only. It never sends configuration commands to a radio, so there's no risk of taking a link down by accident.

Which devices are supported?

Any Ubiquiti airMAX radio. It connects natively over HTTPS and SSH and recognises any model running airOS on its own.

Which systems does it run on?

Windows 10 and 11, available on the Microsoft Store. No drivers or extra dependencies to install: discovery uses ping and the system ARP table.

Does the sentinel watch with the app closed?

No. The sentinel watches while SignalScope is open, and from there it sends the alerts to your WhatsApp or Telegram. It isn't a background service or an agent installed on your radios; for continuous watching you need to leave the application open on a machine that stays on.

Do I need a card for the trial?

No. The 30-day trial includes every feature, is entirely local and asks for no email, sign-up or card.

How do I receive my licence?

The process is simple and has four steps:

  1. Request: Fill in the form on this page with your details.
  2. Payment: You get an email with the payment link, carrying the matching amount and term.
  3. Delivery: Once the payment clears we send you your licence key and the activation instructions (usually within 24 business hours).
  4. Activation: Enter the key straight into the application, using the same email you made the request with.

Which payment methods are available?

When you open the payment link sent to your email you will see the options available for your currency and amount. Today we take Mercado Pago and direct methods such as a bank transfer or a wallet; PayPal is not enabled yet. Sending the initial request is completely free and triggers no automatic charge. If you need a special payment option or an invoice, just reply to the confirmation email.

Where do I see my purchases and renewal dates?

At panel.materis.io, the Materis customer portal. There is no password: you type your email and an access link reaches you. It opens once your payment settles —before that there is nothing of yours to show— and from there you see your licences, your machines and when they expire.

I already have a licence — how do I add machines?

From panel.materis.io, not from here: in your subscription you raise the number of machines and pay only for the stretch that is left, because whatever remains of what you already paid is credited back. The renewal date does not move. Each customer has a single subscription per product, so requesting another licence on this page would not add machines to the one you already have.

Does it renew automatically?

No. The licence lasts 12 months from activation and creates no recurring charges: when it expires you buy a new one if you wish to continue.

Can I switch computers?

Yes. Each licence authorises the number of activations stated at purchase, and you can release an activation from within the application to use it on another computer. If you lost access to the machine, write to us and we'll free the slot.

Is my network data stored in the cloud?

No. Everything the application discovers about your infrastructure —devices, IPs, MACs, signal, snapshots and credentials— is stored locally and encrypted on your own computer: there is no copy on our servers, no usage analytics and no sharing with third parties. The only feature that sends network data off the machine is the messaging alerts, and it ships switched off. The privacy policy spells it out.
